I have tried running uTorrent in XPSP3 compatibility mode - no effect positive or negative.
More hardware info: NIC is Realtek 8168b/8111b (latest drivers installed), video card is ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT (latest drivers installed). After a uTorrent crash the dysfunctional process does not appear in Task Manager, but it does appear in Process Explorer. Slight correction made to the original post. This is particularly annoying because I cannot predict how long uTorrent will stay running before it dies. I am using uTorrent 1.8.4 build 16381 on Win 7 build 7100 (d/l direct from MS). This crash does not seem to produce a uTorrent crash dump. Then it'll work fine again for a few hours and poof it'll crash again just like before. If I end the old process in ProcExp or TcpView I can restart uTorrent without errors. TcpView shows uTorrent still on the port. Taskman shows no uTorrent process, but it appears in Process Explorer. If I restart uTorrent after such a crash, I get error 10048 port bind failed in the uTorrent logger window. When it runs, everything works as it should. It just disappears from the system tray randomly after running for hours sometimes. I am having trouble with uTorrent crashes under Windows 7. I can confirm that it is uTorrent itself which crashes/breaks while maintaining a port lock. MRun: "C:\Program Files (x86)\QuickTime\QTTask.EDIT: Someone? Anyone? I have seen other threads related to this issue, but the poster has never been able to confirm what was blocking uTorrent's port. MRun: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Spybot - Search & Destroy\SpybotSD.exe" ĪV: avast! Antivirus *Enabled/Updated* \AiChargerPlus.exe I've attached the required txt files per the instructions.
I get a constant (every few minutes) IP block message from the same IP address.
